Super Mario Party!

It's a me, Groovy-o! But really, how are ya? In recent news, it appears a SUPER (pun intended) early copy of the game Super Mario Party for the Nintendo Switch, has been sold on ebay for a whooping $7,100! That's a lot of coins to collect. So, here's my question: WHY? The game comes out on October 5th of this year, just a couple weeks away, and you want this copy? I love Mario, I love the Switch. It's an amazing console. But you have to be insane in the membrane to spend 7,000 hard earned dollars on buying this game. It'd be different if it were to never be released. Even then, still a little too rich for my blood.
Anywho, it appears that the game will not be able to be played in handheld mode. Which kind of sucks. Let me tell you why: I got this console, so I could play it on the couch or in bed, with a screen right there. It's fun for Skyrim, it's fun for Crash Bandicoot, it would be fun for this title. It has online feature, but only for the mini games. So the majority of the game will be local play only. Let me get this straight, you introduce online gameplay which we have to pay for (which is fine by the way, super cheap), but most of the game is local play? If you could play the FULL game online, and with handheld enabled, this would be 10x better. Maybe Nintendo will listen to us and figure something out. For now, I guess we just have to deal.
Super Mario Party for Nintendo Switch releases October 5th, 2018 for $59.99

Spider-Man Comic?

I know, I know. This is a game blog. Well, this particular comic has something from a game, so close enough. Spider-Geddon #0. Apparently, there are a bunch of Spider-Man (Spider-Men?) meeting up, and there is game changer coming. Now this is explained in Edge of Spider-Geddon #1-4, which I have yet to read, as I just heard of this. Well Spider-Man from Earth 616, which is the main Marvel universe, has come to Earth 1048, which is Marvel's Spider-Man game, universe (which is why i'm talking about this). He's come to get Peter to help him with whatever is happening. Well, he comes while Spider-Man is fighting a man called Tarantula. So when he sees another Spider themed guy come out of nowhere, he'll have questions. They fight, 616 Spidey convinces him to talk, and we go from there. I won't go too much into it cause you know, spoilers. But i'm itching to see where this goes.

I haven't really read comics before, and I figured this would be a good place to me to start. Thinking I might talk about whatever comics I read and such. Please, let me know what you think!

Top 5 games

Ever since I was a child, I remember playing video games with my dad. That's one thing that always connected us. I've been here for 24 years, so i've played a lot of them. These are my top 5 personal favorite video games (in no particular order).

Number 1 on this list is Marvel's Spider-Man (September 2018). It may have only come out this month, but after I played the game in full, it quickly went up into my top 5. Amazing graphics, and original story, and so much to do all contributes to why it's up there. They have so many suits and powers, so you can play this so many different ways. It also replaced a previous top 5, GTA V.

Number 2, is Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (October 1998). I remember playing this on my birthday when I kid. I put it into my Playstation 1 and enjoyed the ride. One of the levels I remember playing was the water level, swimming and trying to avoid the bombs underwater. It was my introduction to Crash Bandicoot, and have since played all 3 games on the N Sane trilogy.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (October 2004) is number 3. This was the first GTA I played in full, and no regrets have come from it. When first starting the game, and being thrown into Balla Country, CJ needs to steal a bike and get home. These words always remind me of the game, "Grove street, home." It's a must play for any gamer.

Another Grand Theft Auto is GTA Vice City (October 2002) at number 4. This is a game I used to play with my dad back in the day. The first memory I have of this, and perhaps any games at all, is us walking into a store as one character, and coming out another. Now I know, that it was just Tommy changing outfits. But it's that awe that I look for in any game, it's that memory you get that reminds you of the game for life. I don't think this game will ever leave for that reason alone. Oh, and also the bangin' 80's music!

The final game on my list, is Dig Dug (April 1982). I first played this on some joystick plug and play game awhile back as a kid. The music and the simplicity sticks with me to this day. Digging down the level, blowing up weird creatures, that was fun. This game will always be in my memory because of how simple and fun it was. If you've never played it, you're missing out!

The PlayStation Classic

Over the past couple over years, Nintendo has released miniature versions of popular retro consoles. The NES and SNES are the two. Well Sony has announced today (September 19, 2918) That they will be joining the mini console games. They'll be releasing the PlayStation Classic at about 45% of the original size, on December 3, 2018.

Being priced at $99 USD, and are available for preorder. It'll contain 20 virtual games, including Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VII, and more. I for one, am very excited for this to come onto the market. Let's hope it has more units available at the start, especially after the NES debacle of being sold old so quick and the price being extremely marked up on third party sites.

My Thoughts on GTA V

Grand Theft Auto V was released in September of 2013. This was the very first game I preordered, and I went big. I bought it for my birthday for myself. I got the collectors edition, and the game guide with it, for one day shipping. I got it the day it came out, and played it for the next 12 hours. I shared that experience with YouTube on my gaming channel, here. It. Was. Awesome. I completed the game, and went on to enjoy the online portion 2 weeks later (more on that later.). From the first heist, onto the first mission with Franklin. It was intense. At least for me it was! Then once you did the jewel heist, you go on to Trevor. What can I say about him? Well, he's a crazy drugged up lunatic from Canada. He wants his own way. And if he doesn't get it, he'll figure out a way to get it. Anyway, i'm sure you know the story. If not, you're missing out. I beat this game twice on 2 consoles. The 360 and the Xbox One. With so much power going into it, I didn't think it could be better. But when they released it for the Xbox One, I was proven wrong. Upped graphics, better and smoother gameplay, it was awesome...again! You should play it, it's in my top games list for sure!

Now onto online. It was fun! At first anyway. Driving around with people, running over NPC's, doing missions, it was GTA V with friends or strangers! Online has got microtransactions. It was ok at first, you didn't need them. But the more DLC Rockstar poured into it, the more it seemed like you had to buy to even enjoy yourself. If you're like me and stopped playing the online mode after awhile, don't try to get back. You're so behind on the times, and it's almost impossible to get ahead, unless you have the shark cards. That's really the only thing about GTA V I don't like. And the lack on DLC for single player. But what can you expect, Rockstar is getting BANK with the online mode!

As i've said, it's a very worthwhile game! Get it, run people over, shoot up the beach, and enjoy yourself! Just, stay away from Online Mode unless you have a deep pocket!

Marvel's Spider-Man

Marvel's Spider-Man released on September 7th 2018 by Insomniac Games. With major hype and extremely good ratings, people have been looking forward to it since the announcement.
With over 20 suits to gained unlock throughout the campaign, there's no shortage of enjoyment. If you just want to beat another game, it's only about 20 hours for the main story. But there is so much more to do! Unlock new suits and abilities, and take photos! Even just walk around New York City! It's an amazing game, and so far, i've had an excellent experience with it. Please, do yourself a favor, and take your time with this masterpiece!
