Console VS PC
Gaming is amazing. I love it, you love it. I think a lot of people love it. But what should you play on? It's personal preference. I choose to do 99% of my gaming on console. Weather it be PlayStation or Xbox, or going oldschool to the classics, like N64 or NES eras! I personally, just cant play on PC. It's too expensive for me. Every year, games get better and better, but you have to upgrade something in your rig to be able to handle that. Unless you want to play with very watered down graphics. At least with console, it's a pretty much set thing. Put in your game, download it, play. Sure, the graphics probably won't be as good as on PC, but they won't be as bad if you don't have the right hardware in your PC. I'm a console guy. Cheaper and easier to deal with. What do you game on?
PSN Username Changes?

More news from Sony, Playstation users will get to be able to change their usernames/online ID's in early 2019. No word on when, but they stated that they'll begin testing with select users soon. That means when you first got your PS3 and put an embarrassing name on there, you can change it to something more of your liking.

According to Sony, the first change will be free, but anytime after that, it will cost $9.99USD (or $4.99USD for PlayStation Plus Members). A downside is that in games made BEFORE April 1st 2018, may have problems and errors due to the change. I'm 50/50 on that point right now: 1, that the system does recognize your ID specific to files, cloud storage, and game saves. But 2, you would think that that would be a semi-simple fix. So many things out there gives you the ability to change you ID/Usernames with no problems. So why is this different? Maybe it can be fixed in the future. Just be careful with choosing your next name!
PS5 Is Confirmed!

Sony this week recently confirmed that the PlayStation 5 is going to be a console! No surprise from me, but I have a question: When will it stop?
So our eyes can only see so much of resolution, and graphics are getting more and more advanced and lifelike! I understand that consoles are a huge money maker, and yes, i'll be buying one after release. At least when the price drops at Black Friday. But only to experience the new games being released for the console. Maybe one day it'll get to the point when they stop making consoles and focus that money on amazing games. Hopefully. Maybe. Probably not.

Super Mario Party!
It's a me, Groovy-o! But really, how are ya? In recent news, it appears a SUPER (pun intended) early copy of the game Super Mario Party for the Nintendo Switch, has been sold on ebay for a whooping $7,100! That's a lot of coins to collect. So, here's my question: WHY? The game comes out on October 5th of this year, just a couple weeks away, and you want this copy? I love Mario, I love the Switch. It's an amazing console. But you have to be insane in the membrane to spend 7,000 hard earned dollars on buying this game. It'd be different if it were to never be released. Even then, still a little too rich for my blood.
Anywho, it appears that the game will not be able to be played in handheld mode. Which kind of sucks. Let me tell you why: I got this console, so I could play it on the couch or in bed, with a screen right there. It's fun for Skyrim, it's fun for Crash Bandicoot, it would be fun for this title. It has online feature, but only for the mini games. So the majority of the game will be local play only. Let me get this straight, you introduce online gameplay which we have to pay for (which is fine by the way, super cheap), but most of the game is local play? If you could play the FULL game online, and with handheld enabled, this would be 10x better. Maybe Nintendo will listen to us and figure something out. For now, I guess we just have to deal.
Super Mario Party for Nintendo Switch releases October 5th, 2018 for $59.99

Spider-Man Comic?
I know, I know. This is a game blog. Well, this particular comic has something from a game, so close enough. Spider-Geddon #0. Apparently, there are a bunch of Spider-Man (Spider-Men?) meeting up, and there is game changer coming. Now this is explained in Edge of Spider-Geddon #1-4, which I have yet to read, as I just heard of this. Well Spider-Man from Earth 616, which is the main Marvel universe, has come to Earth 1048, which is Marvel's Spider-Man game, universe (which is why i'm talking about this). He's come to get Peter to help him with whatever is happening. Well, he comes while Spider-Man is fighting a man called Tarantula. So when he sees another Spider themed guy come out of nowhere, he'll have questions. They fight, 616 Spidey convinces him to talk, and we go from there. I won't go too much into it cause you know, spoilers. But i'm itching to see where this goes.
I haven't really read comics before, and I figured this would be a good place to me to start. Thinking I might talk about whatever comics I read and such. Please, let me know what you think!
Top 5 games
Ever since I was a child, I remember playing video games with my dad. That's one thing that always connected us. I've been here for 24 years, so i've played a lot of them. These are my top 5 personal favorite video games (in no particular order).
Number 1 on this list is Marvel's Spider-Man (September 2018). It may have only come out this month, but after I played the game in full, it quickly went up into my top 5. Amazing graphics, and original story, and so much to do all contributes to why it's up there. They have so many suits and powers, so you can play this so many different ways. It also replaced a previous top 5, GTA V.
Number 2, is Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (October 1998). I remember playing this on my birthday when I kid. I put it into my Playstation 1 and enjoyed the ride. One of the levels I remember playing was the water level, swimming and trying to avoid the bombs underwater. It was my introduction to Crash Bandicoot, and have since played all 3 games on the N Sane trilogy.
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (October 2004) is number 3. This was the first GTA I played in full, and no regrets have come from it. When first starting the game, and being thrown into Balla Country, CJ needs to steal a bike and get home. These words always remind me of the game, "Grove street, home." It's a must play for any gamer.
Another Grand Theft Auto is GTA Vice City (October 2002) at number 4. This is a game I used to play with my dad back in the day. The first memory I have of this, and perhaps any games at all, is us walking into a store as one character, and coming out another. Now I know, that it was just Tommy changing outfits. But it's that awe that I look for in any game, it's that memory you get that reminds you of the game for life. I don't think this game will ever leave for that reason alone. Oh, and also the bangin' 80's music!
The final game on my list, is Dig Dug (April 1982). I first played this on some joystick plug and play game awhile back as a kid. The music and the simplicity sticks with me to this day. Digging down the level, blowing up weird creatures, that was fun. This game will always be in my memory because of how simple and fun it was. If you've never played it, you're missing out!
